Ryno was born on 23 July 1987 in Bloemfontein, where he attended school at Grey College Primary and matriculated at Sentraal High School in 2005. After matric he set his sights on a tertiary qualification at the University of the Free State (UFS), where he obtained a B. Comm (General Management) degree.
